At Buckinghamshire College Group we believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive. Our Inclusive Practice provision is designed for students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), offering personalised support, small classes and a welcoming environment where every learner can reach their potential.

Three Flexible Pathways

Students can follow one of three main pathways—Independence, Progression or Supported Employment—with programmes lasting up to three years. Each pathway focuses on building the skills that matter most, whether that’s everyday life skills for greater independence, the confidence to move on to mainstream vocational courses, or the practical experience needed for employment or a Supported Internship.

Personalised Support

From the first consultation and initial assessment, we work with families, schools and local authorities to create a learning plan around each student’s EHCP outcomes. Our dedicated staff provide the right balance of guidance and challenge, gradually increasing independence and using assistive technology where needed.

Real-World Learning

Learning takes place across our Aylesbury, Wycombe and Amersham campuses in specialist spaces such as our Life Skills Centre, Future Life Centre and on-site work environments. Community activities, enrichment trips and hands-on projects help students build confidence and apply new skills in everyday settings.

Next Steps

Many learners progress to mainstream college courses, voluntary work, paid employment or a Supported Internship in partnership with organisations such as Talkback and Mission EmployAble. Whatever the goal, we support every step of the journey—from developing communication and teamwork to preparing for Maths and English qualifications where appropriate.
