At Buckinghamshire College Group, all full-time students aged 16–18 are enrolled onto our purposefully designed Buckinghamshire College Group Study Programme.
It’s a complete learning experience that helps you build the skills, confidence and qualifications you need to succeed in your next steps, whether that’s university, an apprenticeship or straight into employment.
We are ambitious for you to succeed, so our study programme has been formulated to prepare you for the future. This means, as well as studying your chosen course, you will also work on important skills to help you to progress positively in life and your future career.
Your Course & Qualification
You’ll study a subject you’re passionate about with courses available from entry level up to pre-degree. Our vocational pathways mean you’ll gain a mix of theory and hands-on experience.
Our qualifications are developed with employers, so you’ll learn the skills and knowledge that industries are really looking for helping you become work-ready from day one.
The WISPA Tutorial Programme
Alongside your main course, you’ll take part in our WISPA tutorial programme — covering:
- Wellbeing

- Sustainability
- Professionalism
- Ambition
You’ll be supported by a dedicated Progress Coach, helping you set goals, explore careers and stay on track. You’ll also have access to a qualified Careers Adviser for free, impartial advice whenever you need it.
Work Readiness & Industry Experience
To help you stand out in the job market, your study programme includes work experience or an industry placement. These are tailored to your career goals and the requirements of your qualification.
Our WorkZone team will help match you with a suitable employer and support you throughout your placement. If you’re eligible, we’ll continue to offer financial help with costs like travel.
Enrichment Activities
Learning at BCG isn’t just about the classroom. You’ll have the chance to get involved in a range of exciting enrichment activities, including:

English & Maths Support
Strong English and Maths skills open doors. If you didn’t achieve a grade 4 or above in GCSE English or Maths, we’ll help you work towards it with resit or functional skills classes built into your timetable.
We’ll support you every step of the way to boost your confidence and give you the best possible foundation for the future.
