- Entry Requirements
To join this course, you will need a Level 1 qualification in Plumbing and GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in both English, Maths and Science.
You should be able to demonstrate an interest in the subject. Entry is also subject to an interview, basic skills screening and initial assessment.

- What will I learn?
On this Level 2 qualification will gain an-depth look at general domestic plumbing principals. You will become a improver and learn how to work with different plumbing materials. You will cover cold water, hot water ,central heating, drainage regulations and safety in construction industry. Practical you will be installing hot water cylinder, cold water storage and a full bathroom installation.
- Additional Information You should provide your own overalls and safety footwear for practical activities. A comprehensive text book is available from the awarding body at a cost of £25.

Achieving the Level 2 course will be recognized as an improver/plumbers mate, which can lead to better employment opportunities and achieving an NVQ in the workplace.

Assessment is a combination of theory exams, written assignments and practical assessments.
