- What will I learn?
You will develop the skills employers in industry are looking for such as technical and practical skills, problem solving, numeracy, literacy, team working and communication.
- Additional Information A course contribution fee of £50.00 will apply, this contributes towards an external trade-related trip, course textbook and course administration. You will also be required to supply your own safety boots and overalls.
- Progression
Upon successful completion, you may proceed onto the Level 2 Diploma in Bench Joinery or Site Carpentry.
- How am I assessed?
Progress and achievement is recorded throughout the year via practical assessments, theory assessments, external tests and a practical synoptic assignment.

This carpentry and joinery course is for you if you want to learn the basic skills required in this specialist trade to enable you to seek a job in the industry. At this level, you do not need experience, just enthusiasm and commitment to learn and undertake a range of small projects.
