Electricians — EAS Changes Hit You on 1st October 2026
The revised Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) brings in stricter qualification rules.
From 1 October 2026, experience alone may no longer be enough, subcontractors, sole traders and supervisors will all need the right certificates to continue carrying out electrical and low‑carbon work.
Plumbers & Heating Engineers — Low Carbon Heating Is Taking Over
Gas‑only work is shrinking fast as clients shift to heat pumps, low‑carbon heating and energy‑efficient retrofit.
Over the next 12–24 months, key low‑carbon qualifications will become essential for installers and supervisors who want to stay eligible for funded work and future contracts.
